Working with Actors - The 7 Cs of Directing
Offered in association with Tightlaced Theatre
The relationship between a director and cast is crucial to the success or failure of a production, but what’s the key to it? This workshop allows directors to explore the possibilities and pitfalls of director-actor communication and experiment within a safe, friendly environment.
There are two parts to this workshop: first a talk / discussion explaining the concept of the Seven Cs and analysing fictional rehearsal room scenarios, then a practical exercise where participants direct a scene which they have prepared in advance, chosen from a provided list. Actors will also be arranged for the day.
